I haven't blogged in months. Partially because I've been busy, but mainly because I've had this fear. A fear of a potential employer stumbling across my page (well, not exactly "stumbling" since I put it everywhere) and either disapproving of something I write or realizing that even though I've spent literally hundreds, upon hundreds of hours coding, I'm still a learning and growing developer. I learn something new everyday, and I should showcase that instead of hiding part of my journey as a developer.
So from now I'm going to write as if this blog will never come across the path of a potential employer. Right before I started at Flatiron someone contacted me via Twitter about the blog post I wrote about being accepted into Mobile Dev Corps. That's who this blog should and will be for, fellow burgeoning developers or people who dream to be a developer one day. Hopefully, this will take the fear out of blogging for me.
If you have a technical or tech related blog, what holds you back from blogging?
